Denim Jumpsuits are a popular trend now. I have a preference for the culotte type even though I am not a big fan of denim. Since I am of average height, I do not like them long. I have to ensure the inseam measurement is somewhere between 22 to 24 inches. There is nothing more annoying than buying flared jeans or pants and have them fixed because of their length. Alterations can ruin the shape of the pants, and in the case of jeans, the colour. They are also not worth doing them especially if the cost of the clothing item is expensive. For those blessed with a tall height, I recommend an inseam of 27 inches. Basically, ankles should be exposed. What I like about this trend is that most pants and jumpsuits have a mid-rise or a high-rise. I hate low-rise pants. My husband was originally not a big fan of this fashion trend but once he saw me trying out a jumpsuit, he changed his mind.
I like the three items listed above. However, the last item is 50 inches overall, too long for my height (5’3″). The Rachel Comey and the Saylor jumpsuits have an inseam of 22 – 23 inches, perfect for people of average height. The first one has a classic look and the second one I actually own. The Saylor jumpsuit looks better in person. The colour is a light blue. It can be dressed with small heels and flats. Furthermore, the straps on the back look nice on my back. I can wear this jumpsuit with a striped tee underneath to give it a more conservative look.
In regards to pants or jeans, here are my top picks. If you are of an average height, the McGuire Denim culottes are the best. Citizens of Humanity is a well-known brand. However, a reviewer mentioned that they were too long. The Rachel Comey pants are also on the long side. Alterations of these items would eliminate the ombré effect.

Urban Outfitters also has for pre-order culotte pants. It is a special collaboration with Objects Without Meaning. These pants run long for somebody of average height.
