Since the weather is getting warmer and warmer here in North America, it would be great to consider wearing cute rings. I am a big fan of statement rings. However, I love the trend of stacking thin rings and first knuckle rings. Of course, that means I will not be able to wear my statements rings but it will be great to try something different.
Here are my buying choices:
Here is my update for Game of Thrones’ S04E04 – Oathkeeper.
- The White Walkers (The Others): I guess we caught a glimpse of The Land of Always Winter. The viewer saw a ceremonial structure similar to Stonehenge, and the rite performed was the transformation of a human baby into an infant White Walker. It seems that only one or few White Walkers can perform this type of magic, or it could be the place where it is performed. The viewer can also conclude that the White Walkers might be “brothers” (at least the ones descending from Craster). In one of my post about Bran’s plotline for Season 4, I mentioned that it would be great to learn more about the White Walkers since we do not know much about them even after five books. I think the episode ending was a spoiler for book readers but expected. I remember reading in A Clash of Kings something that Craster’s wives mentioned to the brothers of the Night’s Watch: their brothers do come back. Of course, they do not come back as humans but as White Walkers. It never came to me that there were eaten or converted into wights. If they were killed and reanimated as wights, they would always keep a small body frame (they would not grow up as adults), and that would be useless for the White Walkers.
- Bronn and Jaime: Their interaction was great. I loved when Bronn told Jaime that during the trial by combat at the Eyrie, Tyrion wanted Jaime to be his champion. Bronn like Pod, Tyrion’s squire, is aware that Tyrion is innocent.
- Tyrion and Jaime: Should I mention that these two characters are my favourite Lannisters? I guess they are the only Lannisters that we read about capable of loving others. Jaime believed in everything Tyrion said and considers him innocent. Tyrion even explained to him that Sansa is not capable of killing, at least “not yet”. I took this comment as a foreshadowing.
- Jaime and Cersei: He loves her but he is realizing that she is becoming increasingly paranoid (remember the witch’s prophecy).
- Sansa and Littlefinger: I found this scene creepy especially when he stroked Sansa’s arm (yuk). I loved when she said that Tyrion is innocent of killing Joffrey. Basically husband and wife consider each other innocent.
- Olenna and Marg: I guess the viewer figures out who killed Joffrey in this interaction, and who is actually Littlefinger’s agent at King’s Landing. Of course, Marg did not grasp her grandmother’s confession, but she will in the future. Even Olenna mentions that Tyrion is innocent.
- Marg – Tommen: I found this scene creepy (yuk). However, Marg was successful and that is what matters. I loved Ser Pounce, the cat. I guess this will be important because the viewer is aware of another cat, a black cat, most likely Balerion, the cat of princess Rhaenys, Rhaegar Targaryen’s daughter. It has been speculated by readers that Balerion is being warged by somebody (probably by Bloodraven). If not, it is likely that Balerion will be warged by somebody in the future to spy and get information (hint: the tomboy girl that was trying to catch him in the first season while being trained by a Braavosi). This has not happened in the books – it is only speculation at this stage.
- Brienne and Jaime: I really ship them together at some point. It will be great character development for Jaime to fall in love with an ugly woman but with a remarkable inner beauty that few have. Basically, Brienne is everything that Jaime would like to be – a great and memorable knight even though she is not a knight due to her condition of being a woman. I liked when Brienne said that she will protect Sansa to fulfil her promise to Catelyn Stark and for him.
- Pod and Brienne: I guess we will see the most “knightly” and noble team in Westeros. Pod got Tyrion’s axe – yeah!
- Bran’s plotline: I mentioned in a former post about Bran that the viewer would be able to see what is going on at Craster’s Keep. This does not happen in the books. However, I love this change. It will make Bran’s story more interesting (even though I think his story is interesting in the books, some readers find it boring). The rape scene at Craster’s was toned down to make it acceptable for the viewers – it did not bother me much since it was something I expected to happen. However, it bothered many viewers, especially non-readers. Sometimes it is better to make certain scenes in an implicit manner.
- Jon Snow: In the books Jon does not know that Rickon and Bran are alive. In the TV show Sam tells him that Bran is alive. However, it seems that Locke (who works for Roose Bolton) heard this confession. Jon’s speech to get volunteers to kill the mutineers shows the charisma he has. I cannot wait for him and his companions to kill those bastards (especially for raping the girls and killing Mormont). I doubt Jon will meet Bran. If they do, Bran might help Jon to learn how to warg.
- Ghost and Summer: We finally see Ghost, and just when Bran finds out where he is, Summer gets trapped and hurt. Basically, Bran and team are without any help especially without those beautiful direwolves.
Next Friday I will be writing about another fashion trend involving bright colours.
