Denim Trends for 2014 + Game of Thrones S04E03 (short)

A major fashion trend now is distressed jeans.

Sincerely I am not a big fan of this trend since I like everything perfect, tidy and new-looking. I have a tendency to throw away my husband’s ripped jeans so I think that really explains how I feel about this trend. However, here are some shopping selections for those who are interested in this trend.

Another trend is overalls.

Here are my shopping selections. I do like overalls – I own two. Even my mother likes them. Like me, she does not like distressed jeans but love overalls. This time my selections for overalls are affordable (most of them below $100).

Regarding the last episode of Game of Thrones, there are few things I would like to talk about.

1. Tyrion – Pod: I like the “father-son” interaction between Tyrion and Pod. This was not on the books but I think it was a nice addition in terms of plot development.
2. The Thenns: The wildlings are being portrayed now as the bad guys. The portrayal of the Thenns is a deviation from the books. They are ruthless and cannibalistic in the show. They also seem to inflict scars on themselves. In the books, they are described as disciplined compared the other wildling clans. They have their own laws and the Magnar is actually a lord. I am not sure why these differences were implemented. I will have to wait to see where the show is going with these changes even though it will not affect the main plot much.
3. Cersei-Jaime: The sex scene in the show was transformed into a rape scene. In the books, Cersei objected a little bit but I never perceived the scene as rape. I think this adaptation was implemented to make Cersei despise Jaime more creating a rift between them. 
4. Tywin Lannister: He is so ruthless especially when schooling Tommen how to be a good king (instead of being a psychopath like Joffrey) without taking into consideration the presence of his daughter and dead grandson.  Of course, it was very hurtful for Cersei to hear this conversation.
